Job summary

Peabody Energy’s Shoal Creek Mine in Oakman, Alabama, seeks a Senior Manager Longwall Production to lead the longwall department, drive safety, reliability, and productivity, and coordinate with maintenance, safety, and operations to meet targets.

The role requires extensive underground longwall experience, strong leadership, budgeting, and compliance with MSHA regulations. You will develop plans, supervise salaried and hourly staff, manage budgets, and champion safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10-12 years of underground longwall mining experience.
• Strong understanding of MSHA Acts & Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the longwall department and meet targets.
• Lead safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop detailed operational plans for direct reports and budgets.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Safety, and other departments to optimize production.
