Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Miner (CM) Supervisor for the Shoal Creek Mine in Oakman, Alabama. You will lead a crew underground, ensuring production targets are met while enforcing safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have longwall experience, 3–5 years of supervisory work, and an Alabama Mine Foreman Certification. The role involves rotating day/evening/night shifts and requires strong MSHA knowledge and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and 5 years of longwall experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisor/crew lead experience; union supervisory experience a plus.
• Alabama Mine Foreman Certification and strong MSHA knowledge required.
• Proficient with MS Office; SAP/Kronos/S-F modules are a plus.
• Ability to work on assigned shifts and weekends; safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly crew to meet production goals with safe practices.
• Lead safety meetings and conduct risk assessments with the team.
• Coordinate supplies, maintenance, and equipment on working sections.
• Complete daily production records and timekeeping accurately.
• Identify process improvements and uphold Peabody policies.
