Qualifications

• Underground/heavy equipment repair and maintenance basics.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Comfort with reading schematics and technical manuals.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing safety and certification training.
• Strong communication and teamwork for field service.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery to minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Travel to underground sites to perform on-site repairs and timely component replacements.
• Conduct post‑repair testing to verify equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics for low voltage control systems.
• Align and calibrate motor couplings, gearboxes, and related assemblies to specs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols in underground environments.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to report findings and drive improvements.
