Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking an Underground Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain critical underground equipment. You will work hands-on in challenging environments, using mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills to minimize downtime and enhance safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in underground or heavy equipment service.
• Completed accredited apprenticeship or one year post-secondary technical education.
• Underground experience preferred for safety and familiarity.
• Strong troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Able to read manuals, schematics, and safety documents.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery.
• Diagnostic analysis using advanced tools to identify issues.
• Travel to sites for on-site repairs and replacements to maintain production.
• Post-repair testing to verify performance and safety compliance.
• Interpretation of schematics and manuals, including low voltage controls.
• Align and calibrate components per manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in underground environments.
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers for continuous improvement.
