Komatsu Mining Corp. seeks an experienced Underground Field Service Technician to maintain and optimize underground mining machinery, helping ensure safety and production. This role emphasizes hands-on technical work in challenging underground environments.

Based in Cartersville, GA with opportunities to travel to mining sites, you will diagnose, repair, and calibrate complex systems, supported by ongoing training and a strong safety culture within Komatsu’s global team.

Qualifications

• Two years of underground or heavy equipment service experience.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or one year of post-secondary technical education.
• Preference for underground mining experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Travel to underground sites for on-site repairs and component replacements.
• Perform post-repair testing to verify performance and safety standards.
• Interpret schematics and perform repairs on low voltage systems.
• Align and calibrate components per manufacturer specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to report findings.
