Job summary

United Utility Services seeks an experienced lineman supervisor to lead overhead and underground distribution crews in Central and North Texas. You will plan work, enforce safety policies, supervise construction, and coordinate with foremen and customers. Requires 7+ years HV line experience and a CDL-A license.

This full-time role involves weekly overnight travel and possible storm assignments. We offer competitive hourly pay, medical/dental/vision, HSA/FSA options, 401(k) with company match,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of experience working on energized high-voltage lines.
• CDL-A license required.
• Ability to read and understand technical information, manuals, policies, work orders, blueprints.
• Strong planning/organizational skills and ability to delegate.
• Good mathematical skills for figures and amounts.
• Ability to handle emergencies, hazards, and time constraints.
• Strong communication skills to relay expectations and objectives.
• Leadership skills to guide and train personnel.
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
• Dependable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to crews to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Extensive knowledge of overhead and underground distribution construction and switching.
• Plan work including manpower and material needs and develop look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure safety, specifications, and schedules are met.
• Maintain proper use of tools and materials; secure them daily.
• Collaborate with foremen and customers for problem-solving and scheduling.
• Assist crew members with construction activities and equipment use.
• Ensure timely repairs and safe working equipment.
• Provide on-the-job training and development for crew members.
• Support project managers to meet company goals.
• Elect to recruit and assign classifications based on skills.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain relationships with customers and generate new avenues.
