Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Greenville is seeking a Protective Services Officer Unarmed for St. Francis Downtown. The officer provides safety and security for patients, visitors and staff, responding to calls and assisting with investigations when warranted.

Responsibilities include escorting individuals, patrolling grounds and parking areas, enforcing hospital policies, monitoring CCTV, intervening in confrontations, and documenting daily activities and incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1–2 years security/law enforcement/military experience preferred.
• RSFH licensure requirements (armed - TASER) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, visitors and staff; patrol grounds and access areas.
• Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property.
• Enforce hospital policies including parking, visitation, drugs and smoking.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to escalating situations.
• Intervene in confrontations and document incidents and daily logs.
