Job summary

Mercy Health’s Anderson Hospital is seeking a Protective Services Officer Unarmed to help maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will respond to calls, escort individuals, and participate in investigations and detentions when warranted.

You will patrol grounds, enforce policies, monitor CCTV, and document all activities with daily logs and incident reports. A HS diploma is required; 1–2 years in security preferred; BLS within 6 months of hire, and licensure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH licensure requirements (armed – TASER) must meet within 6 months of hire per SLED guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, visitors and staff and patrol hospital grounds.
• Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking areas.
• Enforce hospital policies (visitation, parking, smoking, etc.).
• Monitor CCTV to identify escalating safety situations.
• Intervene in confrontations as appropriate and coordinate with clinical teams and law enforcement.
• Document all duties and complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
