Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) for the Richmond Community Hospital to ensure safety for patients, visitors and staff. The role involves escorting individuals, patrolling grounds, and enforcing hospital policies while coordinating with security and clinical teams.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and BLS certification within 6 months. Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts and patrolling premises.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property.
• Enforces policies including parking regulations and visitation policies.
• Monitors security systems and coordinates with clinical teams and law enforcement as needed.
