Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an unarmed Protective Services Officer at Richmond Community Hospital to ensure safety for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to calls, patrol grounds, escort individuals, and support incident investigations within a hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and BLS within six months. 1–2 years of security or related experience is preferred. Night shifts, solid benefits, and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and employees with escorts and patrols.
• Deter criminal activity via routine patrols of hospital property.
• Enforce policies (parking, visitation, drugs, smoking).
• Monitor CCTV and respond to escalating situations.
• Document all duties and incidents in logs and reports.
