Bon Secours—St. Francis Downtown seeks an energetic Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) to ensure internal and external safety, including investigations when warranted.

You will respond to routine and emergency calls, escort patients and staff, and enforce hospital policies across the campus. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with BLS certification within 6 months and TASER training within 60 days as per RSFH/SLED guidelines.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.
• Must meet SC licensure requirements within 6 months where applicable (RSFH/SLED guidance) and complete TASER training within 60 days if required.

Responsabilidades

• Protect patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts and patrolling hospital grounds.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of all hospital property.
• Enforces policies including parking, visitation, drug enforcement, and tobacco-free policies.
• Monitors CCTV to identify escalating situations needing protective services involvement.
• Intervenes in confrontations as appropriate and documents all duties in logs and incident reports.
