Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer to help maintain safety across its facilities. The role includes escorting individuals, patrolling grounds, and enforcing safety policies. You will also monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and document actions in logs and reports.

Required to hold a high school diploma or GED; BLS within 6 months; armed TASER licensure per RSFH/SLED guidelines; 1–2 years of security experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support – required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH Specific: Must meet SCLEDS licensure for armed TASER within 6 months and TASER Training within 60 days.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Escort patients, visitors and employees; patrol grounds; mitigate safety hazards.
• Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking areas.
• Enforce parking, visitation, drug, and tobacco policies.
• Monitor activity via CCTV and respond to incidents.
• Intervene in confrontations and document daily activity logs and incident reports.
