Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, verify patient information, and obtain clinical history prior to scanning. You will position patients, operate equipment, and ensure high image quality for radiologist interpretation within a team.

You will document results in EMR/PACS, maintain infection control, and collaborate closely with radiologists and clinicians to support patient care across all ages.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy to perform independent exams to Radiologist standards.
• Proficiency with radiology software packages and PACS applications.
• Ability to communicate with patients across all age groups in a calm, professional manner.
• Must maintain relevant registries and licenses current.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness before scanning.
• Maintains documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and ensures comfort and privacy.
