AdventHealth Lake Mary/Sanford ED seeks an Ultrasound Technologist PRN. You will perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders, verify patient identity, and document findings in EMR/PACS.

You will educate patients, ensure privacy, and maintain infection control while collaborating with radiologists. Responsibilities include equipment operation, protocol adherence, and continuous quality checks in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and cross-sectional anatomy to perform independent procedures.
• Able to use EMR and PACS systems and basic computer skills.
• Good patient care and communication across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and obtains medical history prior to scanning.
• Positions patients and operates transducers for optimal images.
• Documents findings accurately in EMR and PACS.
• Explains procedures to patients and maintains privacy and comfort.
