AdventHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams in Riverview, FL. The role involves verifying patient identity, acquiring optimal images, and documenting results in EMR/PACS. Collaboration with radiologists ensures accurate imaging and patient care.

You will educate patients about procedures, maintain safety and infection control, and support department protocols across all ages from infant to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
• Ability to communicate with patients across all ages.
• Proficiency with radiology software and PACS applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and history before scanning.
• Explain procedures to patients ensuring comfort and privacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/PACS and complete the exam worksheets.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and patient care.
