Job summary

AdventHealth Lake Mary ER seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per provider orders and established protocols. You will verify patient identity, obtain clinical history, and optimize images while ensuring comfort and privacy.

You will document findings in EMR/PACS, educate patients, and maintain infection control. Requires knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and Doppler techniques; BLS and vascular certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy used for performing independent exams.
• Ability to operate Radiology software and PACS; familiarity with EMR.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills across ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders.
• Verify patient identity and collect clinical history.
• Position patients/equipment and optimize images.
• Document in EMR/PACS and maintain privacy.
• Educate patients about the exam and ensure comfort.
