Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and document findings in the EMR/PACS system. The role requires patient communication, infection control, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

This PRN position demands ARDMS/ARRT readiness, BLS CPR compliance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with a focus on patient care across all ages.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
• Ability to perform independent ultrasound exams to Radiologist standards.
• CPR certification and ARDMS/ARRT readiness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, obtain history, and document findings in EMR/PACS.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and privacy during exams.
• Maintain equipment, infection control, and safe operation of scanners and injectors.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure continuity of care.
