AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to provider orders and protocols. You will verify patient identity, prepare rooms, and document findings in EMR/PACS while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires knowledge of ultrasound physics, Doppler techniques, and compassionate patient care across age groups, with collaboration with radiologists to deliver accurate imaging and timely reports.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques to perform independent procedures.
• Proficient with Radiology software and PACS.
• Excellent patient care and communication across all ages.
• Ability to work independently under Radiologist standards.
• Keep licenses and continuing education up to date.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness; collect history.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal images.
• Document findings in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Maintain infection control and PPE use.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and safe.
• Notify staff when supplies are low.
