Job summary

AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, FL, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist for a PRN schedule. You will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, verify patient identity and history, and position patients/equipment to obtain optimal images.

Maintain EMR/PACS documentation and ensure patient comfort and privacy throughout the procedure. You will collaborate with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging, complete all exams in a timely manner, and keep rooms and equipment clean and ready for

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred and ARDMS/ARRT certification preferred.
• Experience with ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques.
• Proficiency in patient history verification and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness.
• Position patients and equipment to acquire optimal images.
• Document findings in EMR and PACS accurately.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment safety checks.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure correct imaging and continuity of care.
• Acquire and analyze ultrasound data for complete radiologist interpretation.
• Complete ultrasound technologist worksheet with concise findings.
