Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program.
• ARDMS registration in at least one category within one year of hire date.
• Minimum one year of diagnostic ultrasound experience.
• Knowledge of physics and instrumentation for abdominal/OB-Gyn ultrasound.
• Ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations per patient age in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete records, paperwork, and billing promptly.
• Position and transfer patients; assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and send exams to PACS for radiologist review.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• Follow Universal Protocol per hospital policy.
• Maintain inventory and assist with supplies purchases.
• Monitor and ensure proper operation of equipment; maintain supplies.
• Sterilize probes per policy; assist with film processing and scheduling.
