Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in inpatient and outpatient settings, following departmental standards and ARDMS guidelines. You will gather clinical data, document findings, assist radiologists with procedures, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement while adhering to safety and confidentiality.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited ultrasonography or radiologic technology

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program.
• Registration required by ARDMS in one category within one year of hire date.
• Preferred: Associate degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations per patient age and setting.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Completes records, paperwork, and billings promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients; assists with interventional exams.
• QC images and sends exams to PACS for radiologist review.
• Assists radiologists with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• Follows Universal protocol and hospital policies.
