Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Nashoba Valley, Groton, MA. Under the supervision of the Lead Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform ultrasound examinations in inpatient and outpatient settings and maintain accurate patient records.

This role requires ARDMS registration within one year, at least one year of diagnostic ultrasound experience, and strong patient care and communication skills. Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program.
• Registration required by ARDMS within one year of hire date.
• Minimum one year of diagnostic ultrasound experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations in inpatient or outpatient settings per standards.
• Gather clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete all paperwork and billing promptly.
• Position and transfer patients; assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and send exams to PACS for review by radiologist.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• Follow Universal protocol per hospital policy.
• Maintain inventory and procure needed supplies.
• Monitor and ensure proper operation of equipment and supplies.
