Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II to perform ultrasound studies per protocol and physician instructions. The role requires RDMS and RVT credentials, an associate degree in Ultrasound, BLS, and proficiency with EMR and Excel/Word.

On-site full-time with benefits and on-call expectations. You will work in imaging with responsibilities spanning abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, pediatric, small parts and vascular studies, ensuring high-quality images

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Ultrasound or higher required.
• Must be Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Must be Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Vascular Sonographer (VS).
• Credentialed in at least one: Abdomen or OB/GYN.
• Current BLS card within 30 days of hire or orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound studies accurately and efficiently to meet established turn-around times.
• Prepares reports for physician interpretation and ensures quality images are available for interpreting physician.
• Provides age appropriate care, ensures patient comfort and safety, and supports exceeding customer expectations.
• Experience with abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, pediatric, small parts and vascular studies.
• Participates with patient transportation and regulatory/accrediting agency compliance.
• Responds to on-call coverage within 1 hour and maintains professionalism per hospital policies.
• Maintains PHI privacy and security in accordance with HIPAA.
