Qualifications

• Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school in Ultrasound or higher.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and RVT registration within 6 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment under physician supervision.
• Ensure proper patient identity by verifying identification and confirming physician orders.
• Complete and maintain departmental competency checklists.
• Collaborate in a team environment to solve problems.

Skills

Knowledge of ultrasound diagnostic techniques

Medical terminology

Strong skills in software such as Excel, Word, and EMR systems

Superb organization skills

Education
