Job summary

AdventHealth Waterman in Florida seeks an ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic scans, verify orders, and document results in EMR/PACS. You will educate patients, ensure privacy, and work with radiologists to deliver high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image optimization, equipment safety, and timely completion of studies across age groups, in a full-time hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy and Doppler techniques.
• Experience with PACS, EMR systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to educate patients and explain procedures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness, collects history.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment for optimal images.
• Documents in EMR and PACS accurately and timely.
• Explains procedures and ensures patient comfort and privacy.
• Operates imaging equipment safely for all ages and collaborates with radiologists.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, stocked and safe; validates equipment checks.
• Analyzes images and completes the technologist dictation with findings.
