Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking an UGE Operator to run underground installation equipment and support the Line team on detailed projects. You will operate heavy machinery, perform safety checks, and ensure proper staking and dig procedures near utilities.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 1 year of experience with a valid driver's license; OSHA 10 and CDL Class A are preferred. This field role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• CDL Class A (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate jobsite equipment safely, such as mobile cranes, bulldozers, excavators.
• Perform service, safety checks, and minor repairs on machines.
• Inspect work area to ensure staking/located prior to digging.
• Dig around live utilities, both underground and overhead.
• Load trucks safely and help improve operations.
• Train or oversee lower graded operators when needed.
