Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking a UGE Operator to install underground conduit and equipment colors for customers. You will operate heavy machinery, perform safety checks, and work with the Line team to support project delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of experience, and a valid driver's license; OSHA 10 and CDL Class A are preferred. The job is field-based with exposure to varied weather and physical activity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate jobsite equipment safely, such as mobile cranes, bulldozers, and other construction equipment.
• Perform service, safety checks, and minor repairs on machines; check oil and fluids.
• Inspect work area to ensure it has been staked/located prior to digging.
• Work with maintenance crew or assist as laborer when not operating equipment.
• Dig around all live utilities, both underground and overhead.
• Train, guide, or oversee lower graded operators and laborers when needed.
• Comply with safety standards per MasTec or customer requirements.
• Load trucks safely and efficiently.
• Work to improve operations and provide quality service.
