Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in the United States is seeking an UGE Operator to operate a range of heavy equipment for underground conduit installation and related tasks. You will work with the Line team and perform safety checks, material handling, and site inspections to ensure precise and safe placements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year of relevant field experience, and a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 and CDL Class A are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2+ years experience (preferred).
• OSHA 10 Certification (preferred).
• CDL Class A driver's license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate site equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and more.
• Perform safety checks and minor repairs on machines.
• Inspect work area and staking before digging.
• Assist as laborer when not operating equipment.
• Dig around live utilities (underground and overhead).
• Train or supervise lower graded operators when needed.
• Follow MasTec safety standards and load trucks safely.
• Seek process improvements and quality service.
• Perform other duties as required.
