Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking a UGE Operator to operate underground conduit installation equipment and support the Line team. The role involves handling machines such as cranes, bulldozers, and excavators while following safety standards and ensuring efficient operation in the field.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license; preferred qualifications include 2+ years, OSHA 10, and CDL Class A.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate jobsite equipment safely, including mobile cranes, bulldozers, and excavators.
• Perform service, safety checks, and minor repairs on machines.
• Inspect work area to ensure staking/located prior to digging.
• Work with maintenance crew or assist as laborer when not operating equipment.
• Dig around all live utilities, both underground and overhead.
• Train, guide, or oversee work of lower graded operators and laborers when needed.
• Comply with safety standards and MasTec procedures; load trucks safely.
• Support operations to improve efficiency and customer service.
