Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Test Technician II for our manufacturing facility. You will assemble and test Small Unmanned Aircraft System components in accordance with engineering drawings and instructions, using our work order system.

Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, final assembly of ground control equipment, debugging and troubleshooting of assemblies, and collaboration with engineering to improve processes. Must follow safety and ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, air tools).
• Ability to solder as part of assembly and duties.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Collaborate with Production Technicians and Engineering to improve assembly documents.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is complete.
• May train other technicians and conduct in-process quality checks.
• Support manufacturing engineers to enhance assembly efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist in new product development until documentation is finalized.
