Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician II in Simi Valley, CA to assemble and test Small Unmanned Arial System products. The role involves assembling subassemblies, wiring, final assembly of ground control equipment, and both testing and troubleshooting to high quality standards.

You will work with a team to improve processes, follow work orders, and may train others while maintaining a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools and the ability to solder may be required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand and power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles; testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineering to improve assembly processes and documentation.
• Ensure work orders are followed and paperwork completed; may train others.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; perform in-process quality checks.
