Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Production Technician II to test and assemble Small Unmanned Aircraft System products in our manufacturing facility. You will follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system, performing mechanical assembly of subassemblies with hand and power tools, and conducting final assembly and testing of ground control equipment and drones.

The role requires 1–2 years in manufacturing or electronics/electro-mechanical assembly, with experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly
• Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power/tools)
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics desired
• Ability to solder as part of assembly
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies using hand/power tools; some soldering may be required
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies
• Collaborate with peers to improve assembly docs and maintain high quality
• Work with manufacturing engineers to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs
• Ensure work order protocols and paperwork are completed
• May train other technicians and perform in-process quality checks
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
