Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Test Technician II in California to assemble and test Small Unmanned Aerial System products in a manufacturing setting.

You will follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions, use the work order system, and work with a team to ensure high-quality results. You will perform mechanical and final assemblies, troubleshoot issues, and assist with process improvements with manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or electronics/electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools and soldering.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing and safety/ESD familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies using hand/power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies.
• May train other technicians on assembly processes and documentation.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and follow work order protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly docs and efficiency.
