Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in California is seeking a Production Technician II to test/assemble Small Unmanned Arial System products in our manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system.

The role involves mechanically assembling subassemblies with hand and powered tools, possibly soldering, and performing final assembly and testing. Team collaboration and adherence to high quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or production, electronics or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience with hand tools and soldering.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies with hand and/or power tools.
• May perform soldering and final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Collaborate with team to improve assembly documentation and efficiency.
• Ensure work orders and related paperwork are completed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
