Job summary

AV is seeking a Production Technician II in California to test and assemble Small Unmanned Aerial System products in our manufacturing facility. You will follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and testing. You will perform subassembly and final assembly, conduct tests, and collaborate with engineering to improve processes while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools (crimpers, drills, torque wrenches, power/air tools) required.
• Strong manual dexterity and basic computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication with teammates required.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies using hand/power tools and conduct soldering as needed.
• Assemble ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve assembly documentation and processes.
• Support manufacturing engineers to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-competitiveness.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is completed during tasks.
• Perform in-process quality checks to verify product quality to standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to routine procedures and receive instruction on new tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
