Job summary

Leidos is seeking an UAS Interoperability Technician in Huntsville, AL to join the JSIL group. The role covers integration, testing, and certification of UAS C4I technologies, in software/hardware-in-the-loop environments, with collaboration across a diverse team of operators, technicians, and engineers.

Candidates should have a technical degree with 2–4 years experience or a relevant Master’s; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) plus 2–4 years of experience or Masters with <2 years in a technical discipline; 9+ years UAS equivalent experience if no degree.
• Familiarity with UAS flight and mission operations.
• UAS C4I technologies (tactical messaging, payload product dissemination).
• UAS simulation software and hardware technologies.
• UAS integration and testing.
• Test procedure development.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.
• On-site work only; travel up to 10% of the time; ability to obtain Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform Risk Reduction Testing based on customer-defined system capability requirements.
• Perform Army Interoperability Certification testing of candidate system software and hardware.
• Develop and follow procedures derived from current and future system requirements.
• Create solutions to complex interoperability problems during testing phases.
• Support JSIL leadership through the system development lifecycle.
• Interface with customers to establish testing practices and delivery needs.
