Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL is seeking a UAS Interoperability Technician to join the JSIL Technology and Certification Center. You will perform integration, testing, and certification of UAS C4I technologies in software/hardware-in-the-loop environments.

This role requires travel up to 10%, U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain Secret clearance, and a technical degree with 2–4 years of experience (or 9+ years without degree).

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical discipline plus 2-4 years of experience or Masters degree with less than 2 years in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). In lieu of a degree 9+ years of UAS equivalent experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with UAS flight and mission operations.
• UAS C4I Technologies (tactical messaging, payload product dissemination).
• UAS simulation software and hardware technologies
• UAS integration and testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) based on system capability requirements developed and established by the customer.
• Perform Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) testing of candidate system software and hardware.
• Conduct thorough testing based on established procedures and standards and support development of procedures derived from current and future system requirements documentation.
• Develop solutions to complex interoperability problems during all phases of testing.
• Work closely with the JSIL leadership to provide support during the system’s development lifecycle.
• Interface with the customer to help establish testing practices and meet their software and hardware delivery needs.
