Job summary

Leidos is seeking a hands-on UAS Data Links Communications Test Engineer to join the S3I JSIL team in Huntsville, AL. You will support integration, testing, and evaluation of advanced tactical data links and communications systems for UAS and other platforms supporting DoD missions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience (or Master's 2–6 years).
Experience with tactical data links or military communications tech.
Strong RF, data link architectures and network protocols.
Experience supporting system integration, testing, or performance analysis.
Familiarity with systems engineering principles and verification.
Ability to participate in technical meetings and document outcomes.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Final Secret Clearance.
Must reside in Huntsville, AL area or relocate.

Responsibilities

Support testing and evaluation of UAS data links and comms technologies focusing on performance and interoperability.
Assist integration, troubleshooting, data collection, and documentation of test results.
Collaborate with TE teams to verify performance metrics.
Support systems engineering activities including requirements, interfaces, verification, and documentation.
Evaluate emerging data links and provide technical assessments for future capabilities.
Document technical decisions and recommendations from meetings.
