Job summary

SAIC is seeking a motivated UAS Software Integration Engineer to join the S3I JSIL Tech Center in Huntsville, AL, working on ground control stations for UAS/RPA programs. You will contribute to system and software integration for Army and Air Force programs.

The role requires Linux/Windows, virtualization, containerization, scripting, and C/C++ development, plus an active Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of work experience; four additional years in lieu of degree.
• Bachelors degree with nine years of work experience; four additional years in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Linux/Windows environments.
• Experience with virtualization (Type I/II hypervisors: vSphere, KVM, VMware Workstation).
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Podman).
• Experience with Cisco systems, configuration, networking and firewalls.
• Scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with C, C++, and C# development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system hardware and software architecture decisions based on performance, schedule, and cost.
• Design electrical architecture and integrated systems for real-time, mission-critical applications.
• Perform hardware/software design, reviews, and prototype testing at the customer site.
• Configure virtual and physical switches; troubleshoot network issues on switches and firewalls.
• Develop automated network installation and configuration scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Java, Python).
• Create engineering materials: System Description Documents, system requirements, data flow, and network diagrams.
