Job summary

Catapult Learning is hiring a Tutor to provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing in Plainfield, CT. Some positions are also available in Lebanon, and some travel may be required.

This part-time position pays $35/hour. The Tutor will diagnose skill deficits, coordinate with school staff, communicate student progress with parents, and deliver prescribed instructional models using Company materials.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
• Licensed tutors: teachers with proper CT state credentials also qualify.
• Must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.

• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company-designed materials.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company and local, state, and/or federal agencies.
