Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time tutor in Plainfield, CT. You will advocate, mentor, and guide students using our proven curriculum to improve reading, math and writing skills.

Responsibilities include diagnosing skill deficits, coordinating with school staff, and communicating progress to parents. You may work year-round or during summer, part-time or full-time, with support and training.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or 48 semester hours) or at least two years of college.
• Licensed tutors: CT credentials recognized as a properly licensed teacher.
• Must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate with parents providing information on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods determined by the Company.
• Attend training sessions and apply instructional models in reading, mathematics and writing.
