Job summary

Catapult Learning seeks a part-time tutor to provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing for students at partner schools in Central Connecticut. Responsibilities include diagnosing skill deficits, collaborating with school staff, and communicating student progress to parents.

The role offers $35 per hour, with opportunities for professional development and ongoing support, including curated toolkits to assist in delivering lessons.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 48/72 credits.
• Licensed CT teacher credentials for licensed tutors.
• Must complete FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students.
• Communicate and conference with parents providing information on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
