Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time Tutor to deliver contracted instruction in reading, mathematics, and writing in Suffield, CT, with some local travel to New Britain and Southington.

The role involves diagnosing skill deficits, coordinating with school staff, and communicating student progress to parents, using Company materials and strategies. Teaching experience is preferred and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours) if no degree.
• CT state teaching credentials acceptable for licensed tutors.
• Must complete an FBI/BCI background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
• Communicate and conference with parents, providing information on student progress
• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company-designed materials
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
• Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company and local, state, and/or federal agencies

Catapult Learning is hiring a Tutor to provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing in Suffield, CT (positions also available in New Britain and Southington; some local travel may be required). This part-time position pays $35/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
• Communicate and conference with parents, providing information on student progress
• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company-designed materials
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
• Licensed tutors: teachers with proper CT state credentials also qualify
