Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a Part-Time Tutor to support students in Plainfield, CT. Tutors provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing, guided by our proven curriculum and ongoing support.

Responsibilities include diagnosing skill deficits, coordinating with school personnel and communicating progress to parents. This role offers flexible, part-time options year-round or summer, with compensation starting at USD 35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required; or two years of college study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
• Licensed CT teacher credentials required for licensed tutors.
• Must complete FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate and conference with parents about student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training and implement instructional strategies in reading, math, and/or writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Supervise students and escort to sessions as needed.
• Maintain student forms and files per Company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
