Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a civil/estimating professional to support project controls, bid preparation and material take-offs. You will interpret drawings for field teams, prepare cost estimates, and help ensure compliance with contract requirements and specifications.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data accuracy and documentation, with opportunities to grow in a large national contractor environment. Requires basic estimating experience and strong MS Office plus take-off skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of estimating support, engineering or field experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and take-off software; strong math and drawing interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls for contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret drawings for craft workers and ensure specifications are followed.
• Prepare documentation, punch lists, material calculations and bid support records.
• Provide technical support on material controls, delivery dates and design requirements.
• Develop quantity take-offs, material lists and labor/equipment costs for bids.
