Job summary

Granite Construction in Colorado is seeking an engineering/estimating professional to provide technical and cost information for construction projects. You will assist with controls for contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing, interpret drawings for craft workers, and coordinate with on-site teams to keep the project on track.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Construction background with 2+ years' experience, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with AGTEK Take-off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• 2+ years in estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling software; knowledge of AGTEK Take-off is a plus.
• Ability to perform trig calculations and communicate effectively with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpreting designs/drawings for craft workers to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Prepare documentation such as status reports, punch lists, and material requirement calculations.
• Develop data including quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment to support estimates and bids.
• May supervise or mentor project staff to meet standards and development goals.
• Represent company in client/project management meetings to ensure clear communication.
