Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Field Engineer for the Tunnel Division in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on providing technical engineering and cost information to ensure construction complies with engineering standards.

You will assist with controls, interpret drawings for craft workers, and prepare records, estimates, and change orders to support bid submission and project execution. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, with 0–2 years of experience in estimating or field

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
0–2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
Proficiency with MS Office products and AGTEK Take-off software.

Responsibilities

Assist with job controls to ensure contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
Prepare and disseminate documentation records such as status reports and punch lists.
Provide technical support regarding project material controls to minimize costs.
Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
