Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Needham is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors to teach water safety and swim skills to children from 4 months to 12 years old. You will use our play-based curriculum, foster a positive learning environment, and communicate progress to families.

The position is part-time with a minimum of two shifts per week, pays $17–$19 per hour, and includes paid training. Lifeguard and first aid certifications are preferred and training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified)

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months - 12 years old using Goldfish's curriculum.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate progress to families.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive teammate on and off the pool deck

Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $17 - $19 per hour Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)

What You'll Do

Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months -12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum

Create a safe and positive learning environment

Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress

Maintain pool safety

Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years old

Strong communication skills and reliability

Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1-3 years)

Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified)

Courses made available to you for completion within 90 days of employment
