Job summary

Goldfish Swim School Needham is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors to teach life-saving water safety skills and provide a fun, positive experience for families.

You will work part-time with a minimum of 2 shifts per week, earning $17-$19 per hour and receiving paid training. Lifeguard certification is encouraged; training is provided if needed. Join a team that values development and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; training provided if not yet certified.
• Experience in swim instruction, lifeguard, childcare, or teaching preferred (1–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months to 12 years using the program.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)

• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1‑3 years)
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified)
