Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Needham, MA is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors to advance our mission of teaching water safety. You will teach children, create a fun experience for families, and make a life-changing impact through our play-based curriculum.

This part-time role offers paid training, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive team environment. Prior lifeguard or childcare experience is helpful, with certification training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified).

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months - 12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)

What You’ll Do

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months - 12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress
• Maintain pool safety
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1-3 years)
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified)
